A Horry County deputy saw a Lexus speeding at 66 mph on Plantation Drive and started a chase for speeding. The deputy escalated speeds to 128 and claims to have lost track of the Lexus until the vehicle crashed ahead of him, killing Levious Hayes. No officers were charged.
