Broomfield police escalated a standoff against a man in an apartment complex, who was allegedly holding, holding a woman hostage. After sometime, police made forcible entry into the apartment after a shootout with a man. They found the hostage dead from gunshot wounds. It is unknown at this time whether an officer’s bullet or the man who held her was responsible.
