Kennett PD were called by a business alarm and responded to a location. They saw a man running and fought with him. Two men tried to leave on bicycles and were chased. A Kennett PD officer got into an altercation with 46-year-old James Matthew Hooten and shot and killed him. Hooten is believed to have been unarmed.No officers were charged.
