OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Police were called about a man having a mental health crisis. He had threatened his parents with a gun that went off accidentally. The parents left and Shomaker did not come out of the house. SWAT O’Fallon PD, St. Peter PD, St. Charles City PD all arrived in large numbers and initiated a standoff. The man fired a shot and was shot and killed.
