Louisiana State Police were called to a welfare concern on Old River Drive at 1:44 p.m. Monday, May 29in the Riverwalk gated community.
Two officers arrived on scene and encountered a man and for reasons police did not reveal, police got into a shootout. Robert Anthony Diamond died. No officers were charged.
