Rochester PD chased a vehicle across town, causing a fatal crash on East Main Street in downtown Rochester on Jan. 7, 2022. The Jeep being chased slammed into an uninvolved vehicle at St. Paul and East Main streets, killing one driver and seriously injuring a passenger. The chase had been the result of a Shotspotter alert to policewhich prompted the chase. Third party motorist Benjie Martinez was killed as a result
