efferson County deputies attempted a traffic stop for excessive speeding on Oct. 12 at Leetown Road near the W.Va. Route 9 bridge. Police escalated a chase to 111 mph, placed spike strips and hunted Austin Michael Rohr for expired registration tags and faulty headlights until he committed suicide under police duress.
