A McIntosh County deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver drove away from the traffic stop with the deputy chasing him. The man finally drove off the shoulder and ran into a wooded area. The brush was too thick and the man reportedly pulled a gun. The deputy shot and killed him. FBI took over the investigation as the man killed by police was Native American. He was not publicly identified.
