Tarboro PDchased a red Dodge Journey after the vehicle drove past the ID checkpoint. Tarboro PD escalated a chase and the vehicle crashed at the Northgate Apartments Complex and smashed through the wall into Apartment 28. Jeanette Drew had been inside of her apartment and was killed by the police chase crash.
