Robert J. Flubacherwas believed to have committed multiple assaults and attempted murder in Cowlitz County. Officers used their cars and a spike strip to force the man’s car to a stop on the side of southbound I-5. Flubacher tried to cross the freeway on foot. While he was crossing the northbound lanes, a car struck and killed him.
