OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
A man in mental health crisis wanted by police discussed wanting suicide through text messages. Police located him as a passenger in a vehicle and a traffic stop was tried and resulted in a police chase. Spike strips were deployed and the chase ended in the 3800 block of Morning Glory where the person then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. During the foot pursuit, deputies heard a gunshot. He was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound to the head, presumably a suicide under police duress.
