ewaygo deputies were sent on a “shots fired” call on August 29, 2022. Undersheriff Chad Palmiter saw a Dodge Charger involved in a shooting driving east on E. Baseline Road. He tried to pulled it over but the driver didn’t stop. Palmiter escalated a chase. The driver lost control and left the road on E. Baseline near S. Oak Avenue and hit a tree. The driver died at the scene. Their name wasn’t released.
