OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Cobb County deputies initially responded to a home off Drennon Avenue in Austell. A 911 caller said an armed man and woman were his home trying to take his daughter. The 911 caller gave police a description of the SUV. Police found the SUV and tried to pull it over, but the driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase into Douglas County where officers did a PIT maneuver and disabled the vehicle. The driver allegedly refused to show his hands and police shot and killed him. They also injured his female passenger. Police did not reply whether the man had been armed.
