OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Salt Lake City PD were sent to a call about a man who had arrived in his underwear and tried to steal beer. When police arrived, they engaged in a violent struggle with at least 6 attacking officers trying to handcuff him. police are seen on BCCA holding him down and pressing his edge to the ground until he became unresponsive and was later pronounced dead. Bodycam also shows at least one officer putting most of his body weight on him for prolonged periods as he struggles to breathe and within 6 minutes of this, he stopped breathing and died.
