New Mexico State Police arrived to check on a man who was on the side of a highway, allegedly, slumped over. When police arrived, he got out of the car and began walking toward them with his hand in his pocket. Police claim that he attacked them and they shot and killed him. No claims were made that he had threatened them with any weapon, and it is unknown whether he had been armed or not.
