While on an intensive crime suppression patrol, LAPD officers spoke with Hector Macias at an ATM. Police stated that his "demeanor" made them think that he had a gun. He got in the car and drove away. They chased him and stopped him. They then continued chasing him on foot and claim that he presented a gun. They shot and killed him. A gun was later found at the scene.
