OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 2, 2023, Bossier City PD were called to shots fired at the Valero gas station located at 3820 Industrial Drive. A man allegedly opened fire on police and killed third party bystanders Joshua Ryan Calk and Jairiah Joseph Hamilton. During the exchange of gunfire, officer Kenny Gallon was also shot multiple times and survived. The second officer on scene returned fire.
