Frankie Lee Evans was reportedly intoxicated when he held 2 females hostage in a bedroom. Denver PD arrived with a mental health clinician but Denver PD breached the door and Evans reportedly took one of the women into a “headlock” with a knife to her throat when police approached. One officer fired three shots and killed him. The officer was cleared by the DA.
