OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
St. Charles Parish deputies were sent to a call about a man sitting in a blue van behind a warehouse. They arrived. It is unknown how they approached the man. Police allege that they thought he pointed an “AR-15” at them. Several officers opened fire, shot and killed the man and shot up the van. An Airsoft gun was found near the man. He had been unarmed.
