On 09/26/2024, Yuba County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Donn Moore near Marysville Road in Browns Valley, California. Moore reportedly continued driving, initiating a 30-minute police pursuit that ended near the 2600 block of CA-20 when his vehicle became disabled. Deputies stated that Moore fired shots at officers, prompting a shootout. Police fatally shot Moore, who was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured.
