Broomfield PD arrived at a disturbance at the Arista Flats Apartments in Broomfield. A man reportedly fired shots at them. SWAT arrived and escalated a lengthy standoff. Police eventually made forcible entry and engaged in a shootout. The man was injured and a woman in the apartment was killed. It is not immediately known whose bullet in the SWAT standoff and shoot out had killed her.
