Eliza Yang, 18, was killed on October 16, 2024, when a fleeing vehicle crashed into her home at Cedar Avenue and Nevada Avenue in Fresno. The crash followed a high-speed pursuit initiated by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office’s MAGEC unit, which was chasing 18-year-old Adam Canales, a known gang member. Canales fled after running a stop sign and lost control of his vehicle, crashing into the home where Mang and her sister Eliza were sleeping.
