OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
LAPD responded to a burglary call around 3:30 a.m. Three men were detained by police. The home targeted for burglary was somehow set on fire and a fourth person was locked inside and refused to leave. Police called SWAT and escalated a lengthy standoff until the man jumped out of the window and allegedly had a knife. Police fired a number of beanbags and hit him and he retreated inside of the house again and he emerged and allegedly still had a knife and was shot and killed by police.
