A plainclothes Miami PD officer who worked in robbery, engaged in a foot chase with a man who jumped a fence and allegedly tried to reach for a gun. Police shot and killed him. It is unlikely that police will ever produce video or other evidence, particularly since its plainclothes unit was involved. Police did not say why they chased the man, leading to his death. His mother said he had been on the way to get a haircut in the neighborhood.

A Newtown Township PD officer chased a vehicle driven by Jerry Long that fled. When it stopped, the vehicle struck 2 police cars, accidentally pinning a officer between them. The officer “feared for his life” and fired into the vehicle, killing a 28-year-old woman.

Utah County deputies arrived in Manning Canyon after receiving a call that a man had shot himself in the leg. When deputies arrived, they allege that the man had a gun. Police shot and killed him. It does not appear that any efforts had been made to get him mental health crisis support before killing him. The location where McCleve was killed is in a completely unpopulated desert canyon and it is unclear why police charged at the man if they felt at risk. Mental health professionals are needed instead of police for mental health crisis calls to avoid such outcomes.

Police in Delaware allegedly “forced” someone off the road who refused to stop. The vehicle had damage to the bumper, suggesting either a PIT maneuver or some other tactical intervention was included in police wording that they “forced” the vehicle off the road. The vehicle is full of bullet holes and the driver was shot and killed by police. The female passenger was also killed by police. Police are investigating themselves and have made no comments thus far what happened. This story will be updated in this space when more information becomes available.

Bartow County deputies were chasing a pickup truck, performed a PIT maneuver and caused a fatal crash with it. The pickup truck was attacked by deputies and hit a patrol vehicle when losing control, then rolled over, ejecting the driver who died. Bartow County launched a deliberate maneuver known to be lethal above 35 mph and killed a person because they suspected them to be driving a stolen vehicle.

Multiple law enforcement agencies hunted a vehicle from Marion, Arkansas into Hernando, Mississippi, ending in Crittenden County in a crash and fireball on the I-55 when the vehicle that had been hunted extensively lost control at high speed and crashed into a semi-truck head-on, killing the third-party driver of the truck. Two other motorists are severely injured.

This chase had begun as a domestic violence incident when a woman who had a no-contact order against a former partner was followed and rammed by his car on the road. She hit a concrete wall and survived but this triggered a multi-state manhunt and very long dangerous chase that ended in the death of an uninvolved truck driver who was on the road when the police chase crashed head-on into him.

After an early-morning chase in Thornton, a vehicle fled and allegedly fired shots at Thornton PD. A long chase from Thornton to Castle Rock ended with the fleeing truck crashed into a business and was then shot and killed by police and died. Wayne County Sheriff’s Office tried to traffic-stop a vehicle on KY-90 in Clinton County because they felt the vehicle may be the same one that had committed a hit-and-run elsewhere earlier. Deputy Cross escalated a chase that because very high-speed, dangerous and tactical and the vehicle being chased and the deputy’s patrol car collided twice during the chase. Deputy Cross alleges that Mark Buchanan tried to hit him a third time and that this is the reason he shot and killed Buchanan while driving. Police allege that this stopped the vehicle and they found the man dead. It is unclear how a dead or dying man was able to stop a vehicle without a crash after he was fatally wounded and we hope Wayne County Sheriff’s Office releases dashcam or bodycam footage which may help understand these oddities in the police narrative.

Police allege that they received calls that a neighbor exhibited bizarre behavior by being seen with a fencing mask and sword in or around his home. They called NYPD who arrived, saw Weber with a fencing mask and 2 swords and fired a taser at him, then shot and killed the man. Police allege that he was screaming inside but the details of the circumstances under which he was killed were not passed on by police. Yelling in his own home and wearing a complete fencing outfit is not an illegal act but police did not disclose why they shot and killed him when they entered his home and saw him in his fencing gear.

Alan Weber was known to be a skilled elite fencer and it is not known whether an incident occurred or he was in his common fencing gear and misunderstood by a neighbor and shot upon sight by police as the narrative suggests. Weber was an owner and head coach at Elevate Fencing Club and was a five-time US national team member and Olympic alternate, according to the Rockland Fencers Club Facebook page. He won a medal for the United States at the Pan American Games in 1995.

Blanche Burcham was a woman in her 70s who had been put in jail and released, she walked outside of the jail, went to the parking lot to her car and shot and killed herself. She had been charged with financial crimes in her profession as bookkeeper.

In the early afternoon of 10/10/2023, Peach County Sheriff’s deputies tried to traffic-stop on a Honda Accord EX on State University Drive, Fort Valley, Peach County, Georgia for a traffic violation. The driver, Caleb D. Hooten, age 22, of Warner Robins, GA, did not stop. Police escalated a chase that ended at the Marvin Garden Apartments on Edwards Street when Hooten stopped, ran into the woods, with deputies chasing him on foot. Once in the woods, police allege that Hooten pulled out a gun. They shot and killed him. No BWC, other video or eyewitnesses can be located to compare to the official police narrative. Police did not disclose why they traffic-stopped him or what the urgency was that led to a high-speed chase and fatal shooting as a result of a failed traffic stop.

A deputy pulled over a vehicle and found out the driver did not have a license. The deputy tried to take the person to the patrol car and the person resisted. The deputy became physical and tried to arrest them by force. Both landed on the ground, wrestling over an attempted arrest. The deputy claims the person “reached for their waistband” and the deputy shot and killed them. Of course, a gun was found next to the dead body. Meridian PD saw a vehicle they felt may have been stolen and activated a chase. A female driver did not stop. Oregon State Police joined the high-speed chase and police escalated a chase up to 90 mph. The driver veered into oncoming traffic while fleeing. The driver, 22-year-old Tylisha Evans, crashed and died as a result of the police chase.

Gwaun Frierson was in the passenger side of a dump truck on the I035. He was a trainee for a job with Pioneer Transport. Police had been chasing a man who fired a shot, hitting a deputy in the chin. Police fired back many shots and accidentally hit and killed Gwaun Frierson who had been working nearby on the road.

During a traffic stop in Cleveland County, OK, Kameron Jenkins allegedly shot a deputy in the face. Gwaun Frierson, a construction worker nearby, was shot and killed by a stray bullet. Police avoided saying whose bullet killed Frierson during the shootout. Kameron Jenkins fled and a massive national manhunt ensued for several days with US Marshals and numerous law enforcement agencies hunting for him. After a grid search, he was found dead, having committed suicide under police duress.

Kameron Jenkins was one of two people killed in a series of incidents. Gwaun Frierson was also killed during the first traffic stop and is entered separately.

Danville PD saw a vehicle being driven by a man whose license was revoked. Police claim they saw the man driving erratically, bump a curb and police escalated a chase. The vehicle fled and police allege the driver threw a handgun out of the window. The vehicle crashed into a pickup truck driven by third party motorist William J. Marietta, 74, who was critically injured and later died in the hospital.

An Illinois State trooper pulled over a Kia being driven by Bryan Flores. As the trooper returned to his car, the vehicle drove away. Black Mountain PD allegedly attempted a traffic stop on a man with an unknown previous criminal history who fled, crashed into the side of a motel and locked himself into the motel with a gun. About 35 officers from Black Mountain PD, Montreat PD, Asheville PD and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the motel according to Black Mountain PD Chief Parker. Sarasota County deputies escalated a chase against a driver for unknown reasons. The driver did not stop and the deputy attacked the vehicle with a PIT maneuver. The deputy alleged that somehow, in the process, the driver tried to ram her patrol vehicle and she shot and killed him. Joshua Kersey was intoxicated and took his sister’s car keys. Worried, she called police to try to get him to surrender the car keys and not drive drunk. Police arrived and the situation escalated rapidly. The intoxicated Kersey forced a family member into a bedroom and locked himself in. Nye County deputies were dispatched to a home where a family argument was underway. John Beaudoin who was not allowed to have a gun allegedly had one and police were called. Deputies arrived and claim that he pointed a gun. Police escalated a standoff.

“I’m on Bunarch Road and Deputy Meyers said that he’s going to come and get me. But to tell you the truth, I’m going to kill myself before I go outside,” Beaudoin reportedly told dispatchers before he again threatened suicide. “I’m John Beaudoin, I didn’t do nothing wrong, but I’m going to kill myself before I go outside. I’m not going to jail again. You guys can have all of the s**t that I got. I don’t care no more.”

Numerous beanbag rounds were fired with 3 hitting him. He fled into the house once the impact munitions struck him. Throughout, he was described as distressed, holding a gun to his head while under police assault.

Police claim that he raised his weapon at deputies but it is unclear how deputies saw that unless they invaded the home. Deputy Huggins fired 4 shots into his torso, deliberately killing him.

A man in a mental health crisis apparently set two houses on fire. Iredell County deputies found the man and began chasing him. He committed suicide under police duress during the chase. He has not been identified publicly and no more detail was provided by police.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office officer Amanda Plugge escalated a high-speed against 31-year-old Jack Lee Brown who was driving a Geo. The driver being chased lost control and crashed into 2 motorcycles, a Yamaha and a BMW who were coincidental third-party motorists on the road. The motorcyclist on the BMW died. The Geo spun out of control after collision with the 2 motorcycles and in a second collision, officer Amanda Plugge who had evidently not observed a safe distance when hunting Jack Lee Brown in the Geo, hit the Geo, killing Brown. Deputy Plugge was not hurt but her chase created 2 fatalities and 1 serious injury. Kern County Sheriff’s Office did not give any reason for initiating the chase which police almost always do first if they can justify their actions. No reason or indication for urgency that may be warranted to escalate a dangerous chase is being given by police who have no comment thus far why this multi-fatality chase was undertaken in the first place. The crash occurred on State Route 178 near Kelso Valley Road at 11:44 p.m. on 10/07/2023.
