On October 20, 2024, in Musella, Georgia, Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a woman shot in the face. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim and transported her to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. The shooter, identified as 31-year-old Tommie Lee Alexander, fled the scene. Deputies initiated a pursuit. During the chase, Alexander died by suicide. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the incident.
