On 04/30/2024, at approximately 1:36 p.m., Detroit Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 9100 block of Carlin Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds to his legs; he was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses indicated the shooter had entered a nearby residence. Officers surrounded the home, leading to a standoff. Crisis negotiators attempted to establish communication.
