On October 28, 2024, at around 3:30 p.m., officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to a call about a 36-year-old man experiencing a mental health crisis. Upon arriving, the man was reportedly armed. After entering his vehicle, he returned outside holding a handgun, which he pointed at the officers. The officers shot and killed him. The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
