On November 2, 2024, Keith Edelin was fatally shot by Haddon Township police officers after they responded to a call about an active burglary in progress. Officers, including Officer Luke Falkenberg, arrived at the scene on West Crystal Lake Avenue to find Edelin armed with a knife. According to reports, Edelin approached the officers with the weapon, prompting them to use lethal force. Edelin was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
