Desirae Eagle, 27, was found attempting suicide at the Bexar County Jail. Deputies discovered her during a routine check on October 27, 2024. She was responsive initially but was later transported to University Hospital, where she was placed on life support before passing away on November 3, 2024. Eagle had been incarcerated since June 2024 on charges of assault causing bodily injury and harassment of a public servant. Her death is being investigated by Bexar County’s Precinct 2 Constable's Office under the Sandra Bland Act protocols. This is the 11th inmate death at Bexar County Jail in 2024. Bexar County’s Precinct 2 Constable’s Office is handling the death investigation following the Sandra Bland Act.
