Campbell County escalated a chase that ended when Cassie Miller crashed her vehicle after fleeing from deputies attempting a traffic stop. The chase began around 1:20 p.m. in the Valley View area. Miller drove the vehicle off the road on Howard Road, hitting a tree. She died at the scene, and the 55-year-old male passenger sustained injuries but was not charged. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
