OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
At around 1 a.m. on November 9, 2024, a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a driver on Airport Road for a traffic violation. The driver fled, and although the deputy did not pursue, the individual quickly lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a roadside homeless encampment. Three individuals died at the scene, and two others were seriously injured. The three occupants of the vehicle were detained, but none required hospitalization. Investigators were still working to determine whether any arrests would be made. The crash occurred within Everett city limits, and the incident is being investigated by Everett Police.
The victims were later identified as unhoused individuals living in the encampment.
