On 08/06/2024, Whitehall Township police attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver continued driving away while police pursued through Whitehall Township.
The vehicle entered the area of 3rd Street and Orchard Drive, left the roadway, rolled over, and crashed. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. No other occupants were reported.
Residents told WFMZ they observed police pursuing the vehicle immediately before the crash. Whitehall Township Police acknowledged that officers had been attempting to stop the vehicle but did not release additional details about the pursuit while the investigation remained active.
