The incident in the 500 block of Pentecost Highway involved a domestic dispute where a 31-year-old man allegedly shot his 34-year-old brother in the hand. The man fled in a vehicle, leading to a high-speed pursuit. During the chase, the man fired at officers, injuring a sergeant from the Jackson Police Department. Authorities later shot and incapacitated him, who was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. The Michigan State Police (MSP) is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
