The sender expressed satisfaction at the prospect of harm coming to law enforcement or Rep. Greene, concluding with the phrase "VIVA VIVA PALESTINA." which according to police was "traced to a "Russian IP address", referenced Palestine and led to a high-priority response, including a bomb squad dispatched to Greene’s residence. IP addresses are easy to change and the email appears to have been a hoax.

During the response, an officer driving his personal vehicle crashed into Ms. Pickelsimer's car. Emergency responders pronounced Ms. Pickelsimer dead at the scene. The officer sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
