On December 11, 2024, in the 26000 block of Aberdeen Drive in Magnolia, Texas, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, a man became combative, allegedly punching a deputy and attempting to seize the deputy's firearm. The deputy opened fire, fatally wounding the man. The involved deputy sustained injuries during the altercation and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The incident is under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
