Deputies responded just after midnight to a call from a woman concerned for her safety. They found Andrew Biscay inside a vehicle. Biscay exited holding what appeared to be a firearm, pointed it at deputies, and advanced toward them. Deputies opened fire and shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A realistic pellet gun was recovered next to his body. Biscay had been arrested weeks earlier in Madera County for impersonating an officer and resisting arrest. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

On 06/26/2025 at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Henderson SWAT team carried out a search warrant at a residence on Casa Colorado Avenue linked to a burglary investigation. Detectives had traced a stolen vehicle from a previous burglary to that home. Inside, officers encountered a 71-year-old man. A single shot was fired, striking him. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. It remains unclear whether the man was the intended target of the warrant or another occupant in the residence. The Clark County Coroner will officially confirm identity and manner of death.

On 06/26/2025, Newton Police officers attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle operated by Camden Skyler Childers for alleged traffic violations including reckless driving and no license plate. Childers did not stop. Lt.Carlos Alverto Uribe escalated a chase into Conover that ended in a collision between the motorcycle and a patrol vehicle on Northern Drive NW. After the crash, a physical altercation reportedly took place before Lt.Carlos Alverto Uribe shot Childers. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

On 7/21/2025, Lt. Uribe was arrested and is facing murder charges at this time.

Deputies responded to a residence on FM 149 after the wife of 77-year-old Jeffery Love found him dead from multiple sharp force injuries, with a machete found nearby. Nicholas Petropolis, Love’s stepson, was identified as the likely assailant. Minutes later and about 100 yards from the home, Petropolis intentionally drove his Toyota into an oncoming dump truck in a head-on crash. Petropolis died at the scene. The dump truck driver was hospitalized; their condition was not released. Officials believe Petropolis killed his stepfather before dying in the crash.

Around 9:00 p.m. on June 25, 2025, Philadelphia Police chased the motorcycle through a red light at Roosevelt Boulevard and Comly Road where it collided with a van. The motorcycle was reported as stolen. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The Philadelphia Police Internal Affairs Unit is reviewing the incident, including video footage and whether an authorized pursuit was initiated.

On June 25, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Botetourt County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from Liam Gerald McCaul, who stated he had killed his father, Hugh Gerald McCaul, inside their home on High Ridge Circle. Deputies arrived and found McCaul outside with a handgun. Crisis negotiators attempted to engage him after he reportedly disconnected communication. Deputies moved in, and McCaul allegedly pointed the weapon at them. In response, deputies fired and killed him. Inside the residence, deputies discovered the elder McCaul deceased from an apparent homicide. The Virginia State Police have assumed command of the investigation.
