At approximately 11:30 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers attempted to stop a Ford Expedition identified in a carjacking in Kansas City, Kansas. The driver, identified as Dario Dominguez, did not stop. Officers escalated to a chase that crossed into Kansas City, Kansas, and concluded when the SUV crashed behind a convenience store. Dominguez fled westward on foot while holding a handgun. According to police, he turned and fired at officers, who responded by shooting and killing him.
