Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. in response to reports of a person burglarizing vehicles in the neighborhood. Another call came in around 3:17 a.m. reporting a person in a yard, looking into a residence. Officers located Philip Sanders, who fled on foot. During the pursuit, Sanders allegedly began shooting at the officers, hitting one. In response, two officers shot and killed Sanders.

An officer walking through an apartment complex saw Tristan Trevino, allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic converter from under a car. When the officer tried to arrest Trevino, a struggle ensued. During the altercation with Juan De Los Santos, another individual, Tristan Trevino, approached the officer with a gun. The officer disengaged from Santos and engaged Trevino. On June 28, 2021, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Wilmington Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen. The driver, identified as 16-year-old JahonBemboom, fled the scene, running red lights and traveling at high speeds. The pursuit ended when Bemboom’s vehicle collided with the driver's side of a flatbed tow truck, causing the truck to spin. Bemboom was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

On June 27, 2021, around 5 p.m., deputies from the Chaves County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute involving a firearm between a man and a woman in a vehicle. Oscar Najera III, 25, drove away from the scene in the vehicle. Deputies later located the unattended vehicle at a Stripes gas station in Roswell, New Mexico. While searching the area, a deputy encountered Najera behind a residence on Evergreen Street. Najera fled on foot, prompting a pursuit. During the chase, a deputy discharged a Taser, but it was unsuccessful. Najera continued running and reached the front of another residence on Evergreen Avenue, where two deputies confronted him. The deputies reportedly gave commands before drawing their firearms and shooting, killing Najera.The family of Oscar Najera has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Chaves County Sheriff's Office, alleging that deputies lacked proper training and that Najera was unarmed at the time of the shooting.

Upon arrival, they encountered 59-year-old Jerome Barber, who was armed with a large kitchen knife. Officers issued multiple commands for Barber to drop the weapon, which he ignored. Barber walked in and out of his residence several times, appearing frustrated and irritated. He then rushed toward the officers, prompting them to deploy less-lethal munitions, which were ineffective. As Barber continued to charge with the knife, an officer opened fire, fatally wounding him. Barber was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Canyon Police officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation around 12:30 a.m. After discovering warrants connected to the driver, they asked Michael Deanthony Andrews to step out of the vehicle. Hewett was wanted in connection with the murder of his estranged girlfriend, Brandy Lynn Price, in Pender County.

On June 23, 2021, around 8:00 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police attempted to stop a 2004 Nissan Titan driven by Daryl J. Gakin, 34, of Spearfish, South Dakota, near mile marker 178 on Interstate 80 in Lamar Township, Clinton County. Gakin continued to drive, and officers escalated a high-speed chase for approximately 12 miles that ended near mile marker 165.7 in Marion Township, Centre County. Gakin's vehicle exited the roadway, struck a guardrail, and rolled over multiple times during the chase. Gakin was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Texas Tech Police initiated a pursuit of a Saturn Ion just before 2 a.m. The pursuit was discontinued by Tech Police due to unsafe speeds. Shortly after, the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed and passed a Lubbock Police officer who had just completed an unrelated traffic stop. The deputy attempted to disarm Blackburn using a Taser and pepper spray. Blackburn fled into the woods and returned approximately 30 minutes later. Police fired a taser at him twice and allege that after the second taser firing, he allegedly lunged at them with a knife. They shot and killed him.

On June 20, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Deputy Matthew Cox of the Graham County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by 31-year-old Mickey Ray Rice for minor infractions, including an improper left turn and a broken taillight. At about 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 500 block of West Carlyle. A woman and her daughter reported a physical disturbance with her boyfriend, Tyler Hodge. The woman believed Hodge had left, but officers observed his vehicle at the property and began checking the home and grounds. They found Hodge seated in a detached shed in the backyard with a rifle. Hodge ran toward the officers and fired multiple shots. Officers opened fire, killing Hodge. The injured officer was taken to the hospital.

On June 17, 2021, around 9 p.m., deputies from the Socorro County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired at 78 Pedro Place in Veguita, New Mexico. A neighbor reported that occupants of a white Dodge pickup truck were shooting at an unoccupied residence. Deputies Richard Lopez and Carlos Valenzuela arrived and were met with gunfire from Dean Gross, who fired at least one shot at them. Both deputies returned fire, striking the truck, which caused an explosion. During the incident, Max Jaramillo, 29, fled on foot into the desert. Dean Gross, Joseph Ramalia, and two women remained at the scene and were detained by deputies. Jaramillo was later found deceased in a nearby arroyo.

On 06/17/2021, starting at about 7: 59 p.m., the Chippewa County Central Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a truck driving recklessly in the Pickford area, heading north towards Sault Ste. Marie. Deputies from the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office located the truck traveling northbound on M-129 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The truck did not stop and continued at high speed with police chasing until it collided with the rear of a small car driven by bystander Katelyn Jo "Katie" Robinson at the intersection of M-129 and 20th Street. The collision propelled Robinson's car into an electric pole, causing her to be ejected. She died at the crash site. The truck then continued northbound, eventually crashing after hitting a stop sign, an electric pole guide wire, three parked cars, and a building. The driver of the truck was transported to War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, also with life-threatening injuries.
