OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On April 15, 2021, police conducted a welfare check at 1:16 p.m. where they discovered a 64-year-old woman deceased from strangulation and multiple blunt force injuries. Two individuals, Henry Porter, 22, and Erika Miller, 28, were identified for questioning in connection with this death. Later that evening, around 10:30 p.m., the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, along with other agencies, pursued the vehicle associated with these individuals. After the vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Highway 287 and Highway 191, Porter and Miller fled on foot into a wooded area. Shortly thereafter, two gunshots were heard, and both were later found dead near Duck Creek.
