On 06/14/2021, Pittsfield Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 40 A Lyford Hill Road. Upon arrival, they encountered Anthony Hannon, an armed man who refused to leave the residence or submit to arrest. A standoff ensued, lasting for approximately 10 hours. During the standoff, gunfire was exchanged between Hannon and the officers. Hannon was shot and killed by police.
