On April 28, 2021, New York State Police identified Barry K. Stewart, 55, as the suspect in a double homicide at BridgeView Real Estate Services in Watertown, New York. A State Police K9 unit spotted Stewart's vehicle, a gray 2020 Ford F-150 pickup truck, on Route 11B in Dickinson, Franklin County. When troopers attempted a traffic stop, Stewart's vehicle left the roadway. Troopers found Stewart inside the vehicle with a self-inflicted gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
