On 01/01/2025, Shasta County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of 52-year-old William Clark Littlefield under the influence of substances at a residence in the 12000 block of Bob's Mountain Road in Redding, California, who was reportedly threatening to blow up a vehicle and harm himself. Deputies arrived and found his parents outside. Littlefield exited the home and was engaged in a violent altercation with police. Deputies opened fire and killed him. The Shasta County Officer-Involved Critical Incident Response Team is investigating.
