On 01/04/2025, Orlando Police Department officers responded to reports of a man carrying a firearm near the intersection of John Young Parkway and Old Winter Garden Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered 63-year-old Marvin Martin. Police allege they ordered him to drop the weapon and opened fire. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
