DeJuan Cole was arrested and in jail lockup when he allegedly made a suicide attempt by unknown method and was left in critical condition. He died 6 days later in the hospital. He was a young man who had worked as a cleaner, had a 2-year-old son, and had been arrested for theft when he died in jail under not entirely clear circumstances.
