On 01/13/2025, Tyrek C. Howard and a female were driving when the Montevallo Police Department escalated a chase of a vehicle after a failed traffic stop. Police continue to chase the vehicle.onto Interstate 65, causing a multi-vehicle collision near the Alabaster exit. Tyrek Howard was rear-ended at very high speed and was ejected and died. The driver was also ejected and died. The female passenger was injured.
