At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers from the Portland Police Bureau responded to a call about a man reportedly pointing a gun in a park. Upon arrival, officers engaged Robert Douglas Delgado, 46. Two officers deployed less-lethal 40-millimeter rounds, while Officer Zachary DeLong opened fire with his firearm, killing Delgado. The incident is under investigation.
