OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On January 15, 2025, at approximately 4:22 a.m., Fort Worth Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence in the 5800 block of Westgate Drive. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male individual armed with a knife acting aggressively toward other occupants. When the caller opened the front door but struggled with a second metal screen door, officers forced entry through the back of the residence. The armed individual moved toward police. They opened fire, killing him. The Fort Worth Police Department's Major Case Unit and Internal Affairs are investigating theirofficers.
