On June 3, 2023, San Bernardino County deputies reported that they responded to an unknown disturbance at a residence in the 8800 block of C Street. Deputies found the man had locked himself and his family inside the residence and made threats. The wife grabbed her children and exited the home through a window. The male retrieved one of the children and retreated into the home. Deputies forcibly entered the home and found him holding a knife to the child. Police shot and killed him. He has not been publicly identified.
