On December 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies at the Cobb County Jail in Marietta, Georgia, discovered 39-year-old inmate Clara Palmer unresponsive in her cell. She was transported to WellstarKennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 9:17 p.m. Palmer had been incarcerated since December 11, 2024, following her arrest by Marietta police on charges including charges of weapons, methamphetamine, stolen property.
