On 12/31/2024, 31-year-old Richard Lambert Moses was found unresponsive in a dormitory at the Grant County Jail in Ephrata, Washington. He was declared dead shortly after being discovered. He died from untreated peritonitis in jail due to an accident prior to his arrest. He had been arrested for trespassing. The Central Basin Investigative Team, with assistance from the Benton County Sheriff's Office, is leading the investigation into Moses's death.
